We’re here to make your life easier, and your home more beautiful!  As a design service, we are unique in the industry for offering customers both the ease of online design and the guidance and expertise of a custom designer.

Established in 2018 by interior designer, Alicia Sands Tiberio, DORSET AND POND was created in response to what I saw as a growing demand for individualized interiors on a quick timeline. People wanted to create a tasteful home reflecting current design trends, but they also wanted to avoid the cookie-cutter look of a catalog home." 

With the vast array of products on the market today, making the right choice can be both challenging and time-consuming.  To save the client the time and confusion of too many options, DORSET AND POND searches the marketplace for the best choices and value available. From this starting point, we will work to custom curate a space that reflects your personality and style. We are here to help with everything from the smallest selections, to the largest and most detailed projects.

About the owner: Alicia Sands Tiberio has over 15 years of experience in the interior design field. Having worked in antiques-to-the-trade, an internationally acclaimed lighting design firm, and as a senior designer for an award-winning Connecticut-based design firm, she now operates her own custom design business as well as Dorset and Pond. She has undergraduate degrees in art history from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and interior design from The New York School of Interior Design.

HOW CAN I USE MY OLD FURNITURE IN MY NEW HOUSE?

Sometimes you don’t need new furniture so much as a complete spatial design.  Let’s talk so I can understand how you use a particular room.  Then through photos or an on-site visit, we can rearrange the furniture you love to look at home in its new space.

I THINK I NEED TO PAINT THE MASTER BEDROOM BUT WHERE TO START?  

Paint selection is a specialty unto itself.  The right color can change the whole mood of the room, making it seem larger or smaller, more open or more cozy, more formal, less formal….you get the idea!

DOES MY  FAMILY ROOM LOOK TIRED AND DATED?

Let’s talk about how you want the room where you spend the most time to look.  Then through furniture, rugs, fabrics (custom or ready made), accessories and lighting, we can achieve the look you want.  You may want to spend even more time here than you already do!

FEES FOR SERVICE:

• A 15-minute consultation:  free of charge

• Formal consultation (may include a proposal for furniture, rugs, drapery, lighting and paint or wallpaper):   $250/hour

• Paint selection only:   $50 per room

• Custom drapery or upholstery:  30% of the charge (to be determined in advance) for services, fabric, furniture or other purchases.

No matter what the project,  you will receive a written statement of charges for goods and services in advance of purchase..
